Nathaniel Fields

Nathaniel Fields

Nathaniel Fields is a homegrown Mainer who has spent his life working alongside the families, farmers, and small business owners who make District 17 what it is. He's not a career politician — he's a neighbor who got tired of watching Augusta make decisions that don't reflect the realities of life in this part of Maine. Whether it's the rising cost of heating oil, the struggle to find affordable housing, or the squeeze on local businesses, Nathaniel has lived these challenges firsthand, and he believes the people of District 17 deserve a representative who actually shows up. Running as an unenrolled independent, Nathaniel refuses to let party loyalty override common sense. He has no allegiance to party bosses in Augusta or Washington — only to the constituents of District 17. He's the kind of person who picks up the phone when you call, shows up to the town hall even when it's uncomfortable, and votes his conscience rather than the party line. That independence isn't a political brand for Nathaniel — it's how he's lived his entire life. Nathaniel is a firm believer that good government starts at the local level, and that the best solutions for Maine communities come from Maine people. He's running because he believes District 17 has been an afterthought for too long, and because he knows this community has everything it needs to thrive — it just needs someone in the State House who will fight like hell to make it happen.
